Our Project
At its core, NBU-YEC aimed to empower vulnerable-motivated youth aged 18-35, equipping them with job market-relevant skills. To ensure tailored support, participants were categorised into three (3) groups:
• Gamma – Tertiary graduates
• Beta – Secondary, vocational and technical graduates or drop-outs
• Alpha – Junior high school graduates/drop-outs and youth with little to no formal education
Self-Determined Career Pathway
Participants chose career tracks based on their interest and aspirations. either entrepreneurship or employabilty
Holistic skills Development
Participants chose career tracks based on their interest and aspirations. either entrepreneurship or employabilty
Practical Experience and Opportunities

Community and Network Building

Core Life Skills
We equip young people with the essential skills such as communication, financial literacy, decision making and self-awareness to help navigate professional challenges
Employability
Our employability training prepares youth for the job market by developing skills in CV writing, interview techniques, workplace ethics, time management and digital literacy
Entrepreneurship
We nurture entrepreneural mindset by offering training in business planning, financial literacy, product development and market analysis. participants also receive mentorship and startup support
